Academic Matters

Nursery School

The nursery school employs a theme-based curriculum, fostering learning through both playful exploration and structured activities. The daily schedule incorporates various segments: group interaction during ring times, physical development through movement, imaginative expression in creative activities, skill-building with educational games, independent learning at workstations, and focused tasks in formal work. The overarching aim is to cultivate the essential skills and maturity needed for a successful transition to formal education.

Primary and High School

Our school adheres to the National Curriculum Statement (CAPS) as its current framework. A phased transition to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) curriculum will commence in 2025, starting with Grades 1 through 9. Subsequently, the IEB curriculum will be introduced to the Further Education and Training (FET) phase incrementally, one grade per year. The existing Grades 10-12 cohort will continue with the National Senior Certificate (NSC) until 2028.

While our school does not follow a specific Christian curriculum, its educational approach is rooted in a Biblical worldview. The aim is to equip students with the ability to critically engage with the world, understand truth through the lens of God's Word, and live out their faith in Jesus across diverse callings and vocations – be it in business, commerce, education, health, entertainment, or any other field, both domestically and internationally. The ultimate aspiration is for the students to serve as beacons of God's light in the world.
